Swanston's 80 year-old layout was modified in 2006 (opened 2009) by removing the last 7 holes of the old layout replacing them with 6 new holes in an adjacent field and 1 within the existing layout to return golfers to the clubhouse. The 6 new holes were originally designed as the first 6 so in 2011 we've decided to play the course this way round and see what the feedback's like throughout the year. Playing the course this way round gives scope for further changes to improve some of the remaining older holes over the coming years.
