The 'Templar' course was built in 2006 and opened in 2009. It is primarily designed to be a fun golf course for beginners of the game, yet also has lots of interest (excellent USGA sand-based putting surfaces for example) for the better golfer. Every 2nd Wednesday and every Friday from 1st March 2011 the course is setup as a 6-hole layout (6 of the par 3s are paired up to make 3 par 4s). When played 3 times round it makes an excellent 3,300 yard 18-hole course to gain and retain a handicap.
