SCOTTISH WATER/FOOTGOLF

PLEASE SEE BELOW WHICH HAS JUST BEEN E-MAILED TO ALL MEMBERS

At last weeks Board Meeting it was decided the Club would bring back Footgolf on a temporary basis until the end of October 2019.

The reasons behind this are based on the installation of the pipeline by Scottish Water which has had a “negative” effect on the uptake of new members joining the new Academy; the new academy member’s income was to replace the income we were enjoying from Footgolf in 2016 and 2017.

It is also very unlikely that we will have the 12 grass bays south of the academy building operational this year.

We are in the process of putting together a compensation claim to Scottish Water however as this is unlikely to be settled this year the Footgolf is the best temporary solution.

The Footgolf will be run by the Club – we will retain all monies and only available on Saturdays and Sundays between 11.00am and 4.00pm.
It is planned to start on Saturday the 11th of May.

Where many other golf clubs struggle to create alternative income streams we are indeed “lucky” to have this option available due to the excellent facilities at Swanston.
